TaylorMade introduces the highly anticipated new addition to the Spider putter family for 2023. The most powerful part of the game will always be putting. It has the power to save rounds, to get people on their feet and to win championships. TaylorMade have once again pushed the limits of technology and craftsmanship with the all-new Spider GTX providing one of the most advanced and stable putters ever created. This year the new Spider range includes two types of models featuring the Spider GTX and GT Max.
The Spider GTX has been shaped for stability by boasting a sleek, modern design that pays homage to the classic high-MOI Spider shape. It’s fluid lines and sharp angles come together to create a visually striking frame that perfectly cradles the golf ball at address. In addition to the aesthetic appeal, the Spider GTX offers exceptional stability and forgiveness. The new model also includes precision weighting which features a hollowed-out core to redistribute weight to the perimeter for improved stability. The heavy stainless steel backbar accounts for a significant portion of the putter’s overall mass adding to it’s stability by creating a deep centre of gravity. This design helps the putter resist twisting at impact for more consistent results. The advanced alignment has been refined and enhanced to allow for easy and precise alignment with your target, while also perfectly framing the ball and helping you visualise the path to the hole. The new consistent roll mechanism improves topspin across the face and helps produce a smooth, consistent end-over-end roll on the greens. Building on the success of the MySpider program, there is a colour option to suit every player’s style and preference as TaylorMade have expanded the range of stock colours with the Spider GTX series. From classic shades like white, silver and black to bold hues like red, ice blue, and pink.
Spider GT Max
The revolutionary new Spider GT Max introduces a new level of adjustability and performance. This highly impressive release has been smartly constructed with two sliding tungsten weights which can be easily positioned to influence CG, toe hang and face rotation, helping you offset your mis-hit tendencies. This is done by choosing your desired setting out of three different positions. Position one provides corrective performance for golfers who tend to miss putts left, position two suits versatility and performance similar to Spider X while position three provides corrective performance for golfers who miss putts right. Spider GT MAX brings a new element of adjustability, performance, and movable weight to the putter category. The reconstructed shape maintains features of the iconic Spider design with True Path, while the new sliding weight track helps optimise performance.
