World Class Golf

At The Springs

Our Wallingford golf course was designed by someone who has experience on a wide range of courses around the World. This experience has helped him formulate a layout which proves to be a challenge to novices and skilled golfers alike; former Ryder Cup Captain Brian Huggett MBE.

Brian made full use of the wide ranging terrain types on our 130 acres of Oxfordshire countryside to formulate a universally admired layout which draws golf lovers from across the UK who are keen to take on the challenge that Brian has helped us put together.

It isn’t just the terrain which proves to be a challenge, with golfers also having to take on the challenge posed by the elements with our course being surrounded by miles of open countryside.

One of the most challenging features of our golf course is the 8th hole as it is the one which is most impacted by the wind. On this particular hole, anything from a wood to a mid-iron can prove to be appropriate depending on the weather conditions you are facing on the day.
